If you can redirect output to a file, you’ll be able to view the log and see if its something simple.

I assumed the installed library would work, made a symbolic link to it with the name expected.
This works, except I cannot save bookmarks :-(
Saving them crashes the app and saves nothing.
Any ideas of how to rememdey this?

I think you need to install the svgalib package.
